CfPS Law School Scholarships
We offer performance-based scholarships through a dedicated scholarship examination designed to assess applicants’ General Knowledge, IQ, and English language proficiency. Scholarships are awarded strictly on merit. Scholarships will waive off part of the CfPS tuition fees. These scholarships do not apply to University of London fees.

The University of London LLB is a prestigious law degree awarded directly by the University of London. It is internationally recognised and follows the academic standards of leading UK institutions like UCL, LSE, and King’s College London.
The degree is awarded directly by the University of London, not CfPS. CfPS is a Registered Teaching Centre that prepares students for the UoL exams.
Yes. You can study the full degree at CFPS in Colombo while receiving an internationally recognised qualification identical to one obtained in London.
- • For LLB (Standard Entry): Typically 3 Sri Lankan A-Level passes or equivalent (local or Edexcel/Cambridge).
- • For Graduate Entry: A recognised degree in another field (you can complete the LLB in 2 years).
- • CertHE in Common Law Pathway: Students who do not meet the standard A-Level requirements can first enrol in the Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law, offered by the University of London. This is a one-year foundation programme. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to progress directly into the second year of the LLB. This pathway is ideal for mature students or those from non-traditional academic backgrounds.
- • Standard Entry: 3 years full-time
- • Graduate Entry Route: 2 years full-time
- • Graduate Entry Route: 2 years full-time
- • Part-time study is also available for working students.
Yes. Examinations are conducted at British Council-approved centres in Sri Lanka and are set and marked in the UK by University of London-appointed examiners.
At CfPS, you will be taught by a panel of experienced Sri Lankan legal professionals and academics, many of whom are practising lawyers and UoL alumni.
Yes. After completing your LLB, you can apply to Sri Lanka Law College for admission and complete the Attorney-at-Law programme to practice locally.
- Yes. UoL LLB graduates are eligible for:
- • Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) in England & Wales
- • Bar exams in Canada (NCA Process)
- • Admission in Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and more
